A daily sprinkle of PetCol, Phytopet's all natural herbal supplement for colon care, helps to maintain and regulate normal bowel function.

In promoting overall health and well being in dogs, healthy bowel function is an important aspect as a healthy digestive system removes toxins from the body and supports the function of anal glands.

The soluble dietary fibre in PetCol works alongside the prebiotic and probiotic concentrate contained in the handy Psyllium Seed Powder mixture to combat loose stools, constipation and irritable bowel syndrome symptoms by adding more fibre and encouraging nutritional uptake from the diet.

Psyllium Husk Powder is a soluble fibre derived from the seeds of Plantago Ovata, a herb usually grown in India, and is a supplement which is able to pass through the digestive system without being completely broken down or absorbed, meaning the benefits reach throughout the body. The viscous compound formed by the fibre absorbing excess water in the bowel helps to relieve constipation and diarrhoea, and is said to have benefits including regulation of blood sugar and blood pressure, and aiding in weight loss. Psyllium is well tolerated in comparison to some other potent sources of fibre.

Fruitafit Inulin is 100% natural and derived from chicory roots for its prebiotic effect, low calorific value and increased satiety.

Symptoms of anal gland impaction include brown or grey discharge around the dog's back end and, dragging or 'scooting' around the floor in an attempt to relieve the build up of pressure, licking or biting around the anal area, chasing their tail persistently or licking of the paws as a stress mechanism. Vets usually treat the issue by expressing and flushing the glands, and sometimes administering antibiotics and pain relief, so caring for the glands at home with the addition of appropriate remedies can reduce the need for and stress resulting from such regular vet visits.

Suggested Use: Add 1/4 to 1/2 a teaspoon to food daily. Sprinkle over food if using wet or raw food. If feeding dry food, add 1.4 teaspoon of PetCol to 25ml of water before pouring over dry food.

Ingredients: Psyllium Seed Powder, Frutafit HD Chicory Inulin, Eurocell RM10 (Sc1 1077) Live Yeast.
